Common questions.
Can we leave?Yes, export everything, anytime. The parish owns its own record; no lock-in, ever.
Who migrates our data?We do! Spreadsheets, another ChMS, giving history, the sacrament register, we'll make sure it feels like your parish never skipped a beat.
What is founding pricing?Founding pricing is the price for parishes that join while the founding offer is open: $59 a month for Mission, $99 for Parish, and $149 for Cathedral. A founding price stays the same for as long as your parish stays on that tier. While the offer is open, a parish that changes tier moves to the founding price for the new tier. After the offer closes, a parish that changes tier moves to the regular price for the new tier at that time. In return, we ask founding parishes for feedback and, once they are happy with Symphonia, to act as a reference for other parishes.
Are you going to raise our price?We don't plan to. A founding price stays the same for as long as your parish stays on its tier. For any other price, our aim is to hold the rate you register at for as long as you're with us; if pricing ever has to change, we'll give you plenty of notice first. Your tier only moves if your parish grows past its size band.
Do texts & gifts cost extra?While Symphonia does not charge for these services, our financial processing system (Stripe) charges per transaction, and once your parish's texting registration is approved, the carrier charges per text.
Does the parish library cost extra?No. The Parish Library is part of every plan, with no add-on fee. Its book store has no monthly fee either. The parish pays for the paid titles it buys, and free titles cost nothing.
Why does size set the price?Since Symphonia provides a portal for the entire parish community to congregate, our server costs are heavily influenced by the size of a parish and quantity of members.
What if we hate Symphonia?We know you won't, but there's no long-term contract, and you can export everything and walk away at any time, so there's little risk in trying. If the launch doesn't feel right, tell us and we'll do our best to make it right.
